Today's Project

I don't know why, but lately I have been on kind of a Spring  ... winter Cleaning fix.  I have been cleaning, organizing, and de-junking our place.  Today's project was kind of daunting but I'm proud to say that it is done.  I decided to tackle the Hall/Medicine/Linen closet which also meant under the sinks and bathroom medicine cabinets.  After I took everything out my first thought was "what was I thinking!?"  But it needed to be done and it feels good now.  I didn't take before and after of all of the cabinets but I did of the closet.  Here it is.

I know it may not seem like that big of a difference, but it is.  Everything has a place.  Things shouldn't just fall out when I open the door.  I can actually get towels out without wrestling with all the ones I don't want.  I'm pleased.  I know I have a long way to go to truly be organized like I dream of being, but I'm on my way.

Im notorious for tossing what we dont use. It drives Brad nuts because he likes to hold on to e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. Typically when we get the boys new clothes I do it all at once then pack up all the old sizes and store it for my sisters kids. I hate clutter so everything is either neatly folded or in canvas bins. I'll take a pic of a few of our closets and send it your way. Goo Bec!

I roll up my towels. I like the look of it and they fit nicer in my hall drawers better that way, in my opinion. But your makeover looks great! Another thing I love which I notice you are using too are plastic cubbies and trays. They keep things of different sizes in one space so they don't go falling over when you pick one thing to use. Great work!

Well, we don't have closets. Just nooks, crannies, and cupboards. To maintain my sanity, there are a LOT of baskets. I try to separate as many things as possible by baskets/containers. That way I know what's in them and how much of it I have. The organizing thing has also been my dilemma since we just moved. I'm trying to find new homes for things using my old system from our last apartment and it's just not working. We need some serious revisions and a whole lot of patience. (:

Kid's Talks

  Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready.
