Before I was a Mom . . .

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or n ot my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the fee...

No Doubt . . . He's a Score!

Parker is a Score through and through. He looks like a Score . . . He eats like a Score . . . He most definitely sleeps like a Score . . . He is a Score! Look at how he loves his daddy! Uncle Rick Bought Parker these mini Vans before he was even born and is so excited to see him in them. These pictures are kind of old now, I started the post a while ago and never finished so here it is with more to come soon. For all inquiring minds, we made it back to CA safe and sound. Parker is getting blessed this Sunday, so definitely lots of pictures to come soon from that! Parker is smiling lots more now. Now I just need to capture it on camera! Soon.

Growing Fast!

So I'm at home right now packing up our apartment for the summer and pondering on how fast Parker is growing! I know it sounds so silly, but it is so true! I just fed him and he feel asleep as he usually does. I put him in his little Moses Basket and realized that it was the last time he would sleep in it! Where is the time going? With just a week away from the 2 month mark, we went to the Doctors today. Since we will be in CA when he actually is 2 months I wanted to meet with our normal doctor. Great news . . .he weighs 11 lbs!! YAY!! That is in the 49% for his age. I'm so relieved! YAY for my little chunk! Surprise, surprise, his head is in the 78% and length is 30-something%. So basically I have a short, chubby little dude with a big head! But what a doll he is!! I honestly cant get enough of him! A side note . .. . things are going well here, we are almost all packed up and are hoping to finish tonight . . . we'll see. We are headed off Sunday morning. ...

My Handsome Little Dude!

This is what Parker wore to church on Sunday . . . Isn't he so Handsome!!

His Beautiful Face!

Parker's face went from this . . . (look closely) . . . to this . . . . . . in a matter of days! I am so relieved! What a handsome boy he is!!

Random Sillyness: Magic Balloons

So this is totally random and old news . . . well kind of. For Valentines day I got up early and got some balloons to surprise Jeff when he work up. Nothing special, I just ran to Albertsens (the closest store) and got him a couple of treats. They did surprise him, mainly because he is a Score boy through and through and sleeps like a ROCK, he didn't even know I had left. Anyway, after that Jeff made me our traditional heart-shaped pancakes which were great. Even more random side note, while I was there I saw this ugly pink stuffed monster (pictured below). My thoughts when I saw it were "Who on earth would ever get this for their valentine!?" Well, later that day Jeff came home with some roses, a card, and this little monster I had been mocking in the store. I honestly just laughed out loud! I told Jeff about my thoughts earlier and he just laughed and proceeded to tell me it was Rick's fault. Apparently if your purchased 3 cards the little "Love M...

Flying Poo

Yes, you read that correctly. We had our first encounter with flying poop. I truly and shocked and amazed at the whole thing. Here is how it happened: So Saturday was a CRAZY busy day. I had a Bridal shower from 1-3pm, a baby shower from 2-3:30 pm, a ward party at 4:30, and then night security for our apartment complex. So I was planning for craziness. All morning I had been waiting and waiting for Parker to Poop because he hadn't the day before. I was anticipating something big, but little did I know. So I wait and wait and nothing so finally comes the time I need to go so we strap him in his car-seat and of course, right as I pick him up to go he poops a mighty mighty poo, or so it sounded. So I set him down, take him back out and get ready to change him. I waited a couple of minutes to make sure he was done, because I have learned it takes time for them to get it all out. I open up the diaper to find one little spot of poop. I was shocked, it was sounded like it was m...

A Great Day!

So Yesterday was a Great day!! Parker Smiled at Jeff (I'm still waiting for mine) His acne is fading away. He Finally Gained Weight!! Almost a whole pound in one week!! He is now 9 lbs 6 1/2 oz and I am so relieved!! On a side note, I cant believe we are coming home so soon! I started packing up the house, it is such a HUGE task, I am amazed at how much stuff we have. With Parker here now, and Jeff finishing up school, it is quite the challenge to get it all done. Luckily Parker is the Perfect baby, I just need to be better of taking advantage of his naps and quite times. We will be home in about 2 weeks! WOO HOO! California Here We Come!!

Parker's 1 Month!

Who is One Month Old? I AM, I AM!! (Parker and Ponds, his first gift sent from Aunt Jane when I was only a few weeks pregnant.) WOW! Time flies when your having fun. I truly cannot believe Parker is 1 Month today! It is so exciting. This past month has been so wonderful, and I hear it just gets better! I am already amazed at how much has has changed since day one. It has been especially wonderful to watch him grow because I studied family sciences and child development. I have known so many of these things for years now, but to see them actually happen right in front of my eyes is the coolest thing! A lot has happened the last month, so here is the update. For the most part Parker is doing great! He is a healthy and happy little boy suffering from only a few minor problems. He has been struggling on and off with a clogged tear duct . Every time I think it is gone, a couple days later it comes back. It breaks my heart to see him with his eye sealed shut with goup but it has b...
