This is Now

So I have been sitting here with Blogger open for over an hour now trying to decide which post to write.  Then I realized I really do not want to dig through old pictures and rack my brain trying to remember what happened, when it happened, and how we were feeling when it happened.  Instead, I'm just going to tell you that little miss has 2 teeth.  They just broke the skin today so I guess they are more like sharp nubs than they are like teeth, but we are excited!  She took teething a little harder than the other 2 did.  Last week was a rough week for her and now we know why. She needed lots of extra snuggles, but I did not mind one bit!  We are all so excited.  I let the kids feel them and the look on their faces was priceless.  Watching a human grow really is the coolest thing! I also wanted to mention that right now the P man is all boy.  He is all about running, climbing, wrestling, jumping, crashing, and dirt.  I love it all...

All Things Halloween

Ward Party I love the idea of themed Halloween costumes.  We have done it the past couple of years with Old McDonald & his chick, Peter Pan, Wendy & Tinker Bell, and Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Mother Gothel .  The kids loved it and I loved being a part of it with them (we always tried to pull something together for Jeff too but it never ends up working out).  This year were originally planning on being the Incredibles since our family was the perfect size.  The kids were super excited about it but then we found out one of our good friends were planning on being the same thing and had already started on the costumes.  So instead we decided to be a Clown family and I actually LOVE how it all turned out. Jeff was the best!  He even had a trick flower and totally got some people.  It was so fun!  I'm only bummed that we did not get a family shot or a shot of Parker with all his stuff on.  O-well.  He actually was quite the sad...

Happy New Year!

So the past 3 years we have hosted a kid friendly New Year's Eve party.  It has always been such a blast and we loved hosting.  But this year all our usual attendees were either out of town or moved away.  We were so bummed.  But one of our favorite families decided to come back before New Years so we decided to get together with them. I tried really hard to prep the kids.  When it got to the middle of the afternoon I told them if they took a nap they could stay up really late playing with friends and could eat lots of cookies.  I could see Parker's face light up as I talked to him about the party.  Then he responded with,  "Mom, can I bring something to snuggle?"  You bet buddy! So we went for a little drive and apparently bribing them with the party and cookies was perfect because they fell asleep so fast!  It was probably because they had something to snuggle.  This picture totally melts my heart. After our naps ...

Museum Adventures With Daddy

Jeff got the Friday before Labor day off so I asked the kids what they would like to do.  Em really wanted to go to the Museum so we made the trek out to Sausalito.   It was a beautiful day! It was so empty too, I felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They kids had a blast as always. They even built a massive size marble run with Jeff and thought it was so cool. I wish this place was a little closer, we would go all the time.  Every time we go the kids discover something new and are never ready to leave. They asked to check out the water before we headed home.  These kids have amazing eyes and spotted a Sea Lion swimming in the Bay.  I was shocked and impressed! We stuck around a lot longer than normal which was fun but we forgot to take into consideration that this was the day they closed the old Bay Bridge before the grand opening of the new one in a couple of days.  Everyone and their mother...
