So much to say, so little time.

Well, folks. I have TONS to tell you about. Ragnar, Triathlon, cake decorating, the kids, the hubs, and so much more! Life has been crazy busy lately and I was hoping to get something up before we left for Utah, but it just isn't going to happen. We are leaving in an hour and I have so much still to do I should not even be writing this. So just wanted you to know that we are alive and well! You should anxiously await all the awesome post I have coming up! p.s. I'm pretty sure there is nothing better then listening to your children play and laugh together.

Don't Go Mommy.

I told P that I wasn't going to be here tomorrow to play with him but that he would have so much fun with Daddy, and Granny, and Grandma & Grandpa. I thought he wouldn't think much of it, but his reply was: "Mommy, Don't Go." Said in such a sweet, quiet, sincere voice it almost brought me to tears. Instead I chuckled (you had to see his facial expression to understand the chuckle) and asked why not. And then he said, "Because I love you Mommy." Almost made me change my mind. Such a cutie! He then kept saying it, "Don't go Mommy, because I love you." I was hoping to be asleep an hour and a half ago ... o-well. 2 am is going to come REALLY quickly! I still can't believe it is already here. I am filled with much excitement and nervousness. But honestly I cant stop thinking about how the kids will do. It is so ironic to me too because the past two days have been the kind of days that make me want to go on a month long vacay w...

This is the week

Ragnar is this week. I'm getting scared again. I was feeling so good, but since then my body has really been hurting knees, hips, feet ... the thought of running 3 times in 24 hours sounds like a horrible idea. I keep reminding myself that it will be fun and I am excited to be doing something for me. It will be weird being away from the kids for so long and I'm kinda stressed about that too. Doesn't look like Jeff will be able to get the day off so finding care is really stressful. Luckily I have lots of family and friends close and willing to help, but I just feel bad about it too. I'm still hoping Jeff will be able to get it off, but we'll see. Lots to do before Friday. I'm hoping to catch up on blog post soon. And just an FYI P has used the potty at least once a day for a week! And all on his own. So exciting!

Just when I decided to wait...

Parker Used the Potty!!! I recently decided to wait a few more months before potty training per a lot of your comments so thank you! Tonight I took off P's diaper while he was in the middle of running around (because he didn't want a new one and it was ridiculously full, like we hadn't changed it since we went to church and he was now getting ready for bed, and he is going through a phase where he wants to be naked except the diaper so I knew as soon as I took it off he would want a new one). So I said "Let's go get a new diaper." He got excited and then said "I want to use the potty!!" I was shocked and super excited so we ran back to the potty and had a seat. First he sat on his potty, "all done" he said after a new minutes but nothing happened. "Let's try the big potty," I say and he excitedly jumps on. "All done," he says again yet nothing happened. "I want a cookie" he says. I tell him I...

File Folder Games

Before we left Utah my mom and I were wondering around The Quilted Bear and found some awesome books! There were tons of them filled with ideas and activities for kids. We narrowed it down to these two ... believe me, it was hard to do! I really wanted all of them! Well since buying these books, Em was born, we moved back out here, and life has just been crazy. When I was cleaning out my (someday) Craft Room I found them and decided to finally do them. This past 2 weeks I have been coloring, cutting, and laminating all night long. Jeff has been such an awesome helper too, he is quite the cutting pro if I do say so myself. I'm happy to announce that this week we finished 12 file folder games! I'm so excited for church on Sunday, P is going to LOVE them!! Here they are!! Don't they look so fun! The ones we did were: Grandpa's Garden - matching colors & shapes of veggies Lehi Liahona Letters - matching letters Sheep Sorters - matching numbers to the nu...
