A Hole In One

You heard that right folks! My first time [real] golfing EVER and on the very first hole I got A HOLE IN ONE! Granted, it was the putting course... but still!  I was stoked! For Christmas I bought Jeff a Groupon for us to go golfing together.  He goes with my dad fairly often and I thought it would be a fun date for us.  Well, 6 months later the coupon was going to expire so we finally went.  It was a cute little course in Pleasant Hill called Grayson Woods .  It came with a 18 hole putting course and a 9 hole regular course .  We decided to start with the putting to help us warm up for the real deal.  It was so fun!  Yes, starting off with a HOLE IN ONE did help me get in good spirits, and winning overall helped too. :)  But I was mostly just excited to by out on a date with my hubby without my children!  I do enjoying putting.  Both Jeff and I were so bummed when they took out the local Mini Golf place. ...

Tradition-alholic

So I LOVE traditions!   I am always trying to come up with, make, implement new traditions in our family.   I really am a Tradition-alholic! I think a large part of it has to do with the fact that most of my childhood memories stem from traditions.  Another part is that I have literally studied traditions and the impact they can have on families and individuals and they are SOOOO good to have!   They give you something to look forward to.   They give you repetition.   They give you structure.   Some give you fun and joy.   Other's are more serious and connect you on a deeper level. Seriously, traditions are so good for family life! Traditions are great anytime of year and I really am always trying to come up with some to do throughout the year, but when most people think of traditions Christmas is the first thing that comes to mind (which is also when I intended to write and publish this post).  I wanted to do...

Easter Photo Shoot

You know how everyone takes adorable Easter Pics of their kids and their families...  FAIL! All I wanted was a picture and my kids just would not give it to me.   P wouldn't put on his tie not to mention his scratched up face. Em was interested in anything and everything that was not me. They wouldn't even stand next to each other without pushing and shouting. Let alone give me a smile... So these were the best I got. Hopefully next year we will have more luck.  I just just so excited because for the first time EVER I actually bought them coordinating outfits... O-well. At least I know how cute they really are and what their smiles look like.  Hopefully this no picture phase will pass quickly.

Hotel Home: Week 2

Monday - May 28 The drive back went pretty well.  We decided to stop just outside of Pismo because the kids were getting restless. We ate some food and stocked up on snacks at Walmart then hopped back in the car and finished the trip.  We checked into the hotel and then decided to hit up the Pismo Beach Outlets for the Memorial Day sales.  I got a couple of casual shoes since my current ones had holes in the toes but that was the extent of our purchases.  The kids were loving all the kid coin operated rides though.  I don't know what I'll do once they realize they actually move.  Until that day, I will soak up all the fun they have with it stationary.  lol.  This was also the night that I realized my wallet was not where it should be.  I figured it just got thrown in one of our bags or the car.  So i started cleaning out the car while Jeff got the kids ready for bed.  No luck, it must be in one of our bags. Tuesday - May 29...
