Crazy Lady, GO TO SLEEP!

Rebecca, you were supposed to catch up on sleep while the hubs was out of town. -- I know, but I'm being productive and I feel fine. That is all fine and dandy, but you will not be feeling fine in 4 hrs when your kids wake up. Besides what could you be working on at 2AM that is so important? -- Our Family History thank you very much. And you have a point. Not to mention you are currently having a conversation with yourself, so you cant really be feeling 100%. -- Touche. Save your work and go to bed. -- Goodnight. (It is sad that I have to convince myself to go to bed at what is now 2:30. Tomorrow, I mean today is going to be a LONG day! Why do I do this to myself?)

Does Your One Year Old ...

Does your one year old love to be chased, tackled, and basically abused by their older sibling? Can your one year old climb ladders and slides? Does your one year old love spinach & mustaches? Does your one year old love to play Hide & Seek and then actually hides places you cant find them? Does your one year old use their feet to play with toys more than their hands? Does your one year old clap anytime you say "Yay!"? Does your one year old like to drink from a straw? Does your one year old like to eat sand? And dirt? Mine Sure Does! Isn't she the Cutest? She is the most Adventurous, Fearless, Funny, Unique, Determined, and Adorable person I know! I Love her More Than Words!

Ahh ... To Be Me Again

If I have done my calculations correctly, it has been EXACTLY 3 YEARS since I have been just me. And by just me I mean not growing a human (or 2) or being the sole source of nutrients (nursing). Yes folks, that is 3 years of sacrificing my physical body for the benefit of another being. Please don't get me wrong ... I am SOOOOO VERY GRATEFUL that I am blessed with a body that was able to conceive, grow, and feed 2 amazing children. I am truly blessed. But this is also the first time in 3 years that I have actually felt good (physically/aesthetically) about myself. You see, after P was born I worked my tail off trying to lose the extra weight. I gained a lovely 50 lbs with him, so believe me, there was PLENTY of extra weight. I lost half within one week of him being born. Unfortunately, no matter how much I worked out I did not lose the weight. Then only 6 1/2 months after P was born I found myself pregnant again. I begged the nutritionist to let me work out really hard...

Going Green ... in a different way

Well, I took the little lady to the doctor this week. She was a measly 1 6 lbs 10 oz. That is 3 oz. less than last time we went to the doctors which is not a good thing. She is also officially in the 1% of all children her age. So the doctor told me to fatten her up. Our first battle is with Milk. She will not drink it, period. That was until I made one of these "Green Smoothies." My first one wasn't actually green in color but it had: 1 Cup Whole Milk 1 Banana 1 Cup Strawberry Yogurt A few Strawberries 1/2 cup of Peas She LOVED IT! The most milk I have gotten her to drink EVER. I have since then researched a lot more recipes. The best green food to put in is Spinach or Kale . I just bought some tonight and will be trying them out tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. I'm pretty excited about it. The best thing about it is you can really throw ANYTHING in you want. I'll try and post our favorites, but so far everything I have read the kids...
