Life is Perfect!

She's Here!! Emily Ann joined our family on the 26th of May at 2:17 pm . She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is healthy as can be and we are all doing great. More pictures and the birth story to come. Parker is taking it all really well so far and loves to point to her and say "baby." We are headed home tomorrow and the real adventure will begin. We are so blessed!

Just in case you were wondering . . .

I'm still here. My good friend Janneke took some nice pictures for me this weekend. So despite my best efforts, here I am at 39 weeks. I'm finally feeling bigger, but still compared to last time, this belly is TINY! Life is good and I'm feeling well. I slept good last night for the first time in a few weeks which was much needed. Yesterday was the first day I really felt miserable which made me think that it was "the day" because that is how it was with Parker. But I was apparently wrong and woke up feeling great today. So I guess I just need to be more patient. I have an appointment tomorrow, hopefully my last one, so we will see what they say. If they don't think it is going to happen any time soon I'm probably going to talk to them about inducing me. We'll see. I mean I feel fine, but Parker was 9 lbs 1 oz almost a week early and they say they just get bigger each time. Although I'm visibly a lot smaller, she could still be just as b...

Still Around . . .

Well, despite my best efforts, I'm still around. No baby yet. I keep reminding myself that the longer she is in there the bigger and stronger she is getting; and big babies are healthy babies (and cuter babies in my opinion). But I'm not gonna lie, I don't really want to push another 9+ lb baby out of me. On the positive side, I have been feeling great lately. This is good because I'm not suffering every moment of the day like I was before, but not good because it makes me feel like she is not coming anytime soon. With P I didn't feel awful until the day I went into labor, so now that I'm feeling good again, who knows when she will decide to make her appearance. Here is me and my best friend Lindsey after her baby shower. I'm 38 Weeks and she is 36 Weeks. I had pretty much my first breakdown of this pregnancy this week after my appointment. You see, Friday Night we almost went to the hospital. We were driving home from SLC and contractions ca...

The Name Game

What's Her Name?? I have had quite a few request on doing a Name Post, so I decided to do it before she comes, which is hopefully any day now. But first of all, let me say Parker is alive and well. Sorry that I haven't talked about him lately, but he is doing great! Silly as ever and saying more and more things everyday. He is such a big boy now it amazes me everyday. And he never ceases to crack me up, this is his most recent trick: I LOVE IT!! It cracks me up! He is such a goofball! I'm starting to worry about how he will adjust to this little lady that will be joining our family any day now. At first I wasn't worried. I watched some of my friends babies pretty frequently and he was always so good as I played with them, fed them, and what not. But the other day we had some friends over and I was feeding their baby and Parker FREAKED OUT! He was crying and screaming and trying so hard to climb up my leg so I would hold him too. He wouldn't go to anyone else...

Full Term!

Hip Hip Hurray! I made it to full term. This baby can come anytime now and be perfectly fine. Lets just hope she does! :) My 37 week appointment went well. They said the baby head is REALLY low which makes me think she is going to have an awesome cone-head when she is born. I was really surprised by that because she is still sitting so high. She is all up in my ribs and it makes me think that she will never really "drop" if her head is already low. I'm only dilated to 1 cm, but I guess that is better then nothing. She said I wasn't very effaced yet, but hopefully all that will change soon. For those of you who still dont see the difference in how I'm carrying this baby compared to how I carried Parker, Check this out: 37 Weeks See, it is so different! Parker just stuck right out and she is all inside me, it is so weird! If it stays this way, I'll never have to find out the gender of future children because I will know just by how I carry the baby what it ...

Heaven

This was me yesterday and let me tell you, it was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered! Up until after my massage yesterday, I was seriously MISERABLE! I know lots of pregnant women say that, and maybe it was happening to me so I could better feel how everyone else feels when their pregnant . . . who knows. Because honestly, with Parker I was totally fine up until my 39th week. Sure I needed extra help rolling over at night and tying my shoes, but other then that my body felt good and so did my spirit. This time around I am just drained! On Wednesday I went up to Jeff and said that I honestly did not think I could do it any more and I was 100% serious. I like to think I'm a pretty strong woman, but I had finally hit my peak . And that was when I really decided to go get the message. Let me just tell you, it was heaven on earth . Today I woke up feeling 100 times better in body, mind, and spirit. I finally feel like I can do it. Don't get me wrong, I still hope she come...

Happy Mother's Day to Me!

This pregnancy has been a lot harder on me physically then Parker was. I'm not quite sure why since I am so much smaller, you would think it would be easier, but it is not. I have been in a lot of pain for weeks now and have finally hit my peak. I started browsing looking for prenatal messages and they were MUCH cheaper then I was expecting. I told Jeff that is what I want for Mother's day and he said great go get one! So I found a place close by that had an awesome Mother-to-be Package lasting 1 1/2 hours and decided to go. I was going to wait until Monday, but Jeff said I could go whenever so I'm going today and I am so excited! HIP HIP HURRAY!! This is what my package includes: maternity massage This massage is specifically designed to help alleviate the unique aches and pains of an adjusting body. We use special pregnancy bolsters to accommodate mother’s growing body, to help her find comfort in her physical state. tired leg treatment If you spend most of your...

One More Week!

Ok, so this title is a little misleading . . . I have One Week until I'm Full Term, so really I have 4 weeks until my due date, but I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping she will come sooner rather than later (I know, I'm probably getting my hopes up, but a girl can dream right!) For the most part I am feeling great. I am finally starting to feel huge, still nothing compared to last time, but I am mos certainly pregnant. Here are a few pictures for you to compare: 25 Weeks w/Parker -- 36 Weeks w/Little Lady And no, that is not a typo, 25 weeks vs. 36 weeks. That kind of blows my mind! I'm excited for next weeks picture because that will be the doosey of all comparisons, that is unless I grow an ENORMOUS amount this week, but lets all hope and pray that doesn't happen. Life is good. I'm feeling good. Still walking everyday. As you have probably noticed, I am WAY behind in post, so soon I will catch up, but for now this will have to do. Hope you are doing wel...
