Just in case you were wondering . . .

I'm still here.

My good friend Janneke took some nice pictures for me this weekend. So despite my best efforts, here I am at 39 weeks. I'm finally feeling bigger, but still compared to last time, this belly is TINY! Life is good and I'm feeling well. I slept good last night for the first time in a few weeks which was much needed. Yesterday was the first day I really felt miserable which made me think that it was "the day" because that is how it was with Parker. But I was apparently wrong and woke up feeling great today. So I guess I just need to be more patient.

I have an appointment tomorrow, hopefully my last one, so we will see what they say. If they don't think it is going to happen any time soon I'm probably going to talk to them about inducing me. We'll see. I mean I feel fine, but Parker was 9 lbs 1 oz almost a week early and they say they just get bigger each time. Although I'm visibly a lot smaller, she could still be just as big because they said the majority of my size last time was because I had so much extra fluid. So I might bring it up and just see what they say. In the mean time, I will appreciate the fact that I am still feeling good and enjoy our last little bit as a family of 3. :)

p.s. Parker is doing great! No recent pictures, but I cut his hair last night because when you pulled it all the way forward his bangs went all the way to his LIPS! I just meant to trim it a little but it kinda turned into a bowl cut . . . I think I might go have some one fix it for me. lol.

He really is such a big boy now! Learning new words everyday! So far he can say:
  • Mama
  • Dada
  • Baby
  • Nana (Banana)
  • Gaga (grandma & grandpa)
  • Poop
  • Book
  • Truck
  • Ball
  • Bumbum (balloon)
  • Duck
  • Baaa (Bath)
  • Dog
  • Got It
  • stairs
  • Ous (outside)
  • Gurt (Yogurt)
  • Milk
  • Blocks
  • Os (Cheerios)
  • Uh-uh (uh-oh)
  • Please (said that for the first time yesterday)
  • Good
  • Gone
  • Cracker
  • Nose
He also LOVES to give high-fives! And he likes to brush his own hair and is starting to do a lot better at brushing/letting us brush his teeth. I also discovered he has not one but 2 molars completely in and the other two recently cut the skin. That makes 12 teeth for my little man! He still is as happy as can be. We recently got him a small block set (i recently did a post on the benefits of block play on the parenting blog found here) and he LOVES them! We'll probably be getting him more for Christmas, they are his new favorite toy. He still love, love, LOVES to be outside. And he really likes to go swimming. He likes to sit on the edge of the pull and "jump" (by jump I mean intentionally fall) down to us. He is such a stud! His new absolute favorite thing to do is to walk up and down stairs. He really could do it all day long! He still loves to talk and read books but is very hesitant to try knew foods. Finding things for him to eat quite a challenge. But overall things are great and he is a joy to have around! I can tell he is really loving having his daddy around all day to play with him too.

Jeff is doing great as well. He has just been studying hard for the CPA exam. He has already finished all the lectures and HW for one of the test (there are 4 total). We were really hoping he would be able to take it this month, but the application and waiting for his degree has taken longer than expected. So it looks like he will have to wait until July (the test isn't offered in June, it is a grading month). Until then he will just keep trucking away and start preparing for test number 2.

Life is great and we can hardly wait to meet our little lady! We just wish she was as anxious to me us as we are to meet her. Hopefully my next post will be announcing her arrival. :)

Have you noticed?

I need a haircut ASAP! This is me saying, "I'll smile if you ignore my hair." Don't get me wrong, I am really excited I have long hair, I love having long hair , but it needs a little TLC. It has been a few months since I have even got a trim and I am still re-couping from a not so good hair cut. The last few times I have really CUT my hair, not just a trim, I was not pleased with the results. Now it would probably help if I was willing to pay more than $10 for a hair cut . . . but I'm Mrs. High Pockets as my father calls me and it is really hard for me to spend money on my hair. So I need your help! What do you think I should do? Before you make any suggestions you should know: It MUST be able to go back into a ponytail!!!!!!! My hair is STICK STRAIGHT My hair will not curl to save my life (via over night curls, hot curls, even curling irons, they just don't work) I want and need something EASY! I do not like to spend time on my hair and I don...

Em's Blessing

Emily's Blessing day was so great! Since we were moving home so soon after she was born, we decided to just wait until we got out here to CA so our family could be there for it. It was pretty low key compared to P's (and by that I mean less family there) but was still just as wonderful. Jeff gave a beautiful blessing. It was also special because she wore the dress I was sealed to my parents in. Jeff wasn't a fan of how long it was for such a small baby, but it was so neat for her to wear something that is so special in my family. The P-man looked like a little stud in his outfit too! I wish I would have gotten some of the two of them together, o-well. It was a fabulous day! Thanks so much for all the family and friends that were there, it meant so much to have you there and we missed those who couldn't come! Isn't she so perfect! I love this picture of her laying on the grass. She is so pure and clean and perfect ! I love her!

Disneyland

A little late but . . . We Went To Disneyland! So you may or may not know that we went to Disneyland back in July. It was so much fun! As we were planning the trip I was really worried about how it would be taking 2 babies there, in my mind they were way too young to do anything there but boy was I wrong! All of us had a great time and we all went on tons of rides, even Emily! Here is a list of all the rides we went on: (The bold ones were P's very favorites) Disneyland Railroad Train Enchanted Tiki Room The Jungle Cruise Tarzan's Tree House Pirates of the Caribbean Haunted Mansion Winnie the Pooh It's a Small World Story Book Land canal boats King Aurthur's Carousel Dumbo Mad Tea Party Tea Cups Peter Pan Mr. Toad's Wild Ride Pinocchio Finding Nemo Submarine Autopia (Cars) Did you know babies could do this much! I sure didn't! I even nursed during 4 of the above mentioned rides which was so nice and saved tons of time! They both did so well on all of the...
