5 weeks & counting . . .

So it might not look that big from the front . . . and then BAM!! I turn and all are blown away! I continue to get comments such as: Are you sure there is only one in there? YOU ARE HUGE! Are you due tomorrow? When are you due? (Then I say 5 weeks) Response: WOW!!! So yes . . . I am huge . . . but for the most part I'm feeling great! My last appointment went well, once I got there (long story). He said that weird pain I was having was just because the baby is in position. So it is good, but painful. Luckily I haven't really had that this week. My joints are definitely lose and it is sometimes causing pain. And I of course I am not sleeping. But I am still positive and can hardly wait!! We are trying to get the house in complete order (yeah right!) this weekend because starting next week I am working 30 hrs a week instead of my normal 10. I know, most people work less the closer they get . . . not me! The girl I work with is due as well any day now; so until my baby comes i wil...

Pregnancy: An emotional Roller Coaster

Surprise, Surprise . . . Rebecca had yet another emotional breakdown. Well, I haven't actually had a breakdown like the previous ones where I cry for some silly reason. I'm just up one minute and down the next. I'm hoping some other people can sympathise, i hear it is a normal thing. Lets see if I can explain it a little better. UPs So there are days like today, where despite the pain and discomfort I am ECSTATIC! I can hardly wait to meet my little man! I wonder what he will look like. I wonder what his birthday will be. I picture Jeff holding him and my hart just melts. I honestly don't care about anything and am completely distracted all day because all I do is think about my son. It seems as though no matter what happens, this smile could not be wiped from my face. DOWNs And then there are days (these are MUCH more frequent) where I am just done. I'm done feeling like a huge Whale. I feel ugly, unattractive, I hate my new haircut (which was just a ...

Bringing Home Baby!

Sorry, I realized this title is somewhat misleading, no I have not had the baby yet. But today Jeff and I went on a little trip to Park City. It was a lot of fun, but was a bit crowded because of the Sundance Film Festival. We checked out down town, historic town, ski resorts, Olympic park, and finally the Outlets. It was a blast! We just went to the outlets to look around but of course found a few deals that were irresistible! The one I am most excited about has to do with our little one. Little did I know there is a Carters outlet. As much as we honestly DO NOT need anymore clothes for our little man, we don't have a "Bringing Home Baby" outfit for when we leave the hospital. It took me ridiculously too long to pick one, but finally did. There were far too many that I loved and lucky for my I have a very patient husband (although at times I wish he was a little more opinionated and the choice would have been made sooner. lol. I thought he would be since he i...

Upgrade

I have been a faithful member of Costco for many years now. I guess, I have had my own personal membership for about 6 years but have been going ever since I was a child. Jeff and I have debated the last couple of years if we should make the move up to Executive membership. We have been right on the borderline of it being worth it and as a result it has been a hard decision for us. Well, finally after examining our current spending, plus the added cost our little one will bring (mainly in diapers and wipes) we decided to make the plunge. At about 15 cents per diaper, I couldn't pass it up. That is by far the cheapest I have ever seen them (please correct me if I am wrong). I feel it was an investment worthwhile.

What's in a name . . EVERYTHING!

So I'm finally trying to get serious about this whole naming thing and let me tell you, it is SO much harder than I ever expected it to be. I mean, this isn't just a baby name, it is a person's name forever and ever! So much pressure and so many names I like and so many names Jeff doesn't like. HAHA! Does anyone have any suggestions or even naming tips? So far my favorites are: Parker Spencer Lincoln Andrew Lucas Dominic Landon Noah Tanner There are many many more that I like, but those are the ones I like most today. Adding middle names changes a lot for me, but I need to get a first name first and then go from there. Any thoughts?

The Baby's in Ready Position!

Hip Hip! I had another doctors appointment this week and guess what! The baby is ready to go! I am amazed at how the doctors can tell but he felt and found the head in the right position. I am relieved because recently I have been having bad dreams about the baby coming out feet first. Rest assured all is well. Everything is still going great and despite my doubting it was possible for me to get any larger I seem to be getting bigger everyday still! People almost fall over when I tell them I have 2 months left. It really makes me laugh. That and when people haven't seen me in a while their first comment is always " YOUR HUGE!" Another boost to the self esteem. Just kidding, I don't really mind because I am HUGE but at least I have good reason. :) Overall, things are really going well and I'm starting to get more and more excited and so is Jeff which is fun. But the closer I get also the more scarred I seem to get about the actual birth. I used to not ...

Concord Baby Shower!

(Me and my two best friends since 2nd & 3rd grade!) I have lived in the same ward my whole life. All the women there are so sweet and supportive of all I have ever done and continue to do. They wanted so badly to have a shower while we were there over break. Sister Curtis hosted and we had a great turnout! There were a little over 30 people there, we are so blessed! It was a lot of fun to visit and play silly games. I loved it! Lisa helped come up with the games and they were great! This is my mom measuring my belly to see who guessed my size. A most were over, a few pretty close, but Ann (my mother-in-law) hit it right on the nose! It was exactly the same size, I was very impressed. My favorite game was the - Guess what candy bar is in the diaper - game. You cannot imagine how hard I was laughing as I watched the facial reactions to what was in the diaper and then watch as many of them lifted the diaper to their nose to get a good wiff of what was inside. I loved it! Al...

Mold & Broken Glass

Just when things were finally starting to settle down, of course a bunch of things go wrong! The past few days have been crazy back here in Provo. With Jeff starting classes and me going back to work it seemed as though things would never calm down. Coming home to a cluttered house after a long day of work is the WORST. I decided that today I would spend the day organizing and finally getting our home back in order. Well, it started out great. I was moving right along and finally making some progress. When it came time to organize all my scrapbook stuff is when it all went down hill. I have WAY too much stuff to begin with, especially for our tiny apartment. I have been banned from buying paper for at least 1 year and probably wont need to for about 5! And I'm not kidding, I have some sort of obsession with paper. Anyway, I pulled everything out and started organizing it. When I did so I found some VERY unpleasant things! When Jeff and I first walked in the door from com...
