I had TONS of ideas that I wanted to use/make this Halloween. I was able to get 2 done which I guess is better than none. I'm pretty excited about it them! Here is the first one, our Milk Jug Ghosts. I got the idea here . P's favorite are the Shocked ones. I love these for a lot of reasons: The first is that it is a fun new tradition. P had so much fun with these and he couldn't even really help yet. Every time we finished off another jug of milk he would get so excited to make another "Ghost-es" as he calls them. He would help me decide what kind of face to put on it, happy, sad, shocked, etc; and then watch with intent as I colored them. He loved helping me do this which means he will love it even more when he can draw faces on themselves. The second reason, they take up no storage space! As a lot of you already know, but a group of girls in my area (About 25) got together to make a scripture related quiet book. I have been wanting to do this for a while so I was really excited when one of my friends put this together. We each got to pick a page and then we have to make 28 of that same page. Then this Saturday we will all get together and swap pages and will end up with 28 different pages. There is a wide variety of pages. Everything from Noah's Arc and Jonah and the Whale, to tying your shoe and braiding your hair for church. Each page will require the kids to learn a different skill, which is one of the greatest things about it. I originally signed up to do a seasons page, but after doing the math and realizing I would have to cut out a bazillion little leaves and flowers I quickly changed my mind. Well Folks, I did it. I competed in my first Triathlon. And I didn't do half bad if I do say so myself. When you take into account that I did little to no training, I'm pretty darn proud of my time. I went swimming I think 3 times this summer. The last time I biked was at least 5 years ago. And running, I trained for 3 weeks. My goal time was 1 hr 40 mins which was a total shot in the dark, but I'm happy to say that I did indeed beat my goal time! Not too bad for a first timer. Swim = 7:15 Bike = 54:31 Run = 28:30 Finish = 1:33:27 I am so glad I did this. It was a ton of fun and I learned quite a bit. For example: Road bike vs. a mountain bike when racing makes a MAJOR difference (I had a mountain bike) You can be 50 years old and in awesome shape. (I don't really want to tell you how many over 50 beat me.) After riding a bike for 12 miles for the first time in 5 years, your legs will feel like Jello and make it almost impossible to run...

My kids crack me up. I'm amazed at the stuff they say and do. Here is a hodge-podge of silly things I caught them do back in September. Em found the dog cage at grandma and grandpa's and thought it was just her size. Em in Pig tales For some reason, Em thinks the socks should really be in a different drawer and moves some over almost everyday. Cracks me up! The P-man LOVES this little motor cycle! He rode it almost every day in September. Our little court is awesome and he loves to ride it up the hill and then come down fast. Sometimes it is a little scary to watch, but he has amazing control and can stop really quick and readjust. Here is Em re-discovering the joy turned to pain when you take too big of a bite of a Popsicle. Yet she keeps doing it. P on the other hand will not take a bite, ever. He only licks it. Yet again, I'm starting with the most recent and working my way back. I guess the title of this post could actually have double meaning. You see, we don't have cable so we spend a lot of time on Netflix. We ran out of our favorite shows to watch and decided to start up Lost and see first hand what all the hype was about. Neither Jeff or I are still sure if we actually like the show or not, but we sure are hooked. I'm pretty sure we have gone through the first 3 seasons in one month. We are talking at least 3 episodes a night. Ridiculous... I think so. But either way, we are watching. I think the reason we are hooked now is because we have so many questions and we keep hoping each season will answer our questions but no... it just gives you more question. Anyway, at the rate we are going, we will probably be done in 2 or 3 weeks. I know, we are pathetic. But I feel a little better about the fact that we made a rule that we are not allowed to watch anything until ...

So I'm a little big behind in blogging as of late. And by a little I mean A LOT!! Every time I sit down to blog I either end up not doing or write about something other than what we have been up to. I am excited to report that I have received my 3rd blurb blog-to-book. It is so awesome to have all my post in a hard bound book! Thank you groupon for you awesome deal that made me purchase them and thank you deadline that made me actually get them done. Since I have that all done (one for each year of my blog) I can get back to my actual blogging. I'd love to do a post on all of these things, but for now this will have to do. We started ABC school. I cant stop thinking about the current remarks going on about "Mormons." I am shocked at how uninformed these people are about a religion they talk so freely about. First let me tell you, I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, often referred to as Mormons. Please note that our Savior's name is in the title of our religion.
