Parker Used the Potty!!!

I recently decided to wait a few more months before potty training per a lot of your comments so thank you! Tonight I took off P's diaper while he was in the middle of running around (because he didn't want a new one and it was ridiculously full, like we hadn't changed it since we went to church and he was now getting ready for bed, and he is going through a phase where he wants to be naked except the diaper so I knew as soon as I took it off he would want a new one). So I said "Let's go get a new diaper." He got excited and then said "I want to use the potty!!"

I was shocked and super excited so we ran back to the potty and had a seat. First he sat on his potty, "all done" he said after a new minutes but nothing happened. "Let's try the big potty," I say and he excitedly jumps on. "All done," he says again yet nothing happened. "I want a cookie" he says. I tell him I'm proud of him for trying but he only gets a cookie if he goes potty in the potty. He tries one more time on his potty. A second later he jumps up and says "I DID IT!" I look down expecting to find nothing and sure enough, HE DID!! We were so excited. I hugged and kissed him and told him how proud I was of him. Then we ran to the kitchen to eat a cookie, do a happy dance, and told daddy the exciting news.

Who knows when it will happen again and I don't think I will push is, but I am really excited he had a positive first experience.

  Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready.
