Preschool Christmas Party

I was in charge of our Preschool Christmas party.  I don't know why but I totally forgot to post this last month, despite the fact that it was done.  O-well... better late than never. We did do a lot of fun things, but I still tried to keep it preschool-ish.  Here are some of the things we did.

Started out by cutting out cookies.  I didn't have enough rollers to go around, so I thought I would avoid the arguing and just roll it for them and have it ready when they got here.  They had lots of Christmas shapes to choose from and had lots of fun cutting them out.

While the cookies were in the oven we went into the other room for some school time.  We did some counting, "which one is different," shape matching, and size sorting.


I had lots of great Christmas books so we had a few sessions of story time and sang lots of Christmas songs.

We then did a little craft that also had to do with sizing.  I cut papers in strips and they had to put them in order from shortest to longest and if they did it right it looked like a Christmas Tree.  Some kids did better than others, but I think the end results came out great.

 They then got to put stickers on their tree to be like ornaments.

By this time the cookies had cooked and cooled.  I busted out the frosting & sprinkles and let the kids have at it.  They obviously had lots of fun.


But once this knife licking stared happening, I knew it was time to stop.


They also made these little reindeer cookies to take home.  They didn't come out quite as cute as I imagined but the kids still thought they were awesome, so I guess that is all that really matters.


Super fun preschool!

Kid's Talks

  Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready.
