Well, January flew by! I don't even feel like we did much of anything, but I am so happy that it is over. Busy season is in full force, but with January ending worst should be over (or so we hope and pray! We sure do miss daddy!).
Here is a photo dump of what we have been doing to keep busy.
Can I just say, I love winters in CA!
Enjoying a Popsicle in January.
Sunday night games with daddy. This was the night P said,
"I LOVE WINNING!"
Jeff got a Banana Chair for Christmas and we all are getting lots of laughs from it.
Em's legs finally are long enough to ride the motorcycle which she now loves almost as much as P does.
The P-man riding his new balance bike. He is getting so good at it! I think he might even be ready for a real bike with no training wheels. EEEK!
They would seriously ride all day every day outside if I would let them. The other day we rode bike in the church parking lot with some friends for over 2 hours without one complaint!
P is OBSESSED with Spider-man right now. Despite the fact he has never seen it and really does not know anything about him. When I ask him what he wants for his birthday (which is less than 1 month a way by the way) all he says is a Spider-man Cake. At least he will be easy to please. :) But I found this gem, yes I know it is too small for him, but it was $2.60! Seriously, how could I not by this. Both kids are loving it!
I am officially no longer allowed to pick Em's outfits.
Also, any time I want to take a picture, she hides from me.
The P-man knows how to spell his own name all by himself!
He did this on Jan. 10.
We love taking our new bike and trailer out for a spin.
Although I must say, pulling 70 lbs of dead weight is quite the workout!
Orange season!
One of our favorite activities is picking & eating oranges from grandma and grandpa's tree.
They are seriously THE BEST ORANGES!
We are so lucky!
Thanks to a Christmas party we now play Fluffy Bunny with almost every food item.
Also note the scissors in Em's hand. SHE LOVES TO CUT. Everyday she asks me to play with scissors. I'm dreading the day she takes them to her hair!
This is how Em fell asleep the other day at my folks. Poor girl.
On a happy note, look how long she looks! I think she is finally growing! Hip Hip!
Or maybe I spoke too soon. Hiding in the block bag and giggling hysterically.
The kids keep asking if we can make a treat together. So lately we have been making and eating lots of pudding. Apparently, no spoons required.
So I love Tomato Soup and one day I REALLY wanted it so I made it. I was able to get P to eat some too. He dipped his quesadilla in it and said, "Yum, this is good!". I was so proud.
Em loves to fly like an airplane or a bird depending on her mood.
Daddy does it best of course.
We tried out a new quite time activity. They thought it was pretty cool, especially after it was all mixed and they discovered they could draw on it. P even practiced writing some of his letters all on his own.
We are loving being able to play in the backyard again, but are getting a little too adventurous for mom's liking...
Well, that is is for now. Perhaps since it is now February I should finally post about Christmas... but you know... I don't want to rush into anything. Just kidding. Really, I was waiting to get pictures off my dad's and hubby's phone so now I am finally ready. Be excited!
I still can't believe January is over. O-well.
Happy Love Month!
