Am I really 25?

Turning 25 has been a bigger deal to me then I thought I would be. I was kind of having a hard time with it until someone opened my eyes and helped me see all that I have accomplished in my 25 years. Here are a few of the things I thought of:
  • I am a college graduate
  • I am married to the man of my dreams
  • I am a mother, which is something I have dreamt about becoming my whole life and I am loving every minute of it!
  • I am not in debt
  • I have many hobbies that I love to do
  • I have an amazing family who I would do anything for
  • I have many friends that I love dearly
  • I think I can fairly say I am loved by many
  • I have a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • I have served in many callings
  • I have served many people
  • I have the dream child who makes me smile and laugh everyday
  • I am half way through my second pregnancy
  • I am blessed beyond measure!
I realized I could go on and on. Makes me think of the hymn "Count Your Many Blessings,"

When upon life’s billows you are tempest-tossed.
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear.
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

The Lord really has blessed me. I have a Wonderful life and I can honestly say I would not change one thing about it! I am grateful for all that I have been able to do in the past 25 years and I look forward to what the next 25 will bring.

  How is Christ’s Birth Significant to me Talk on 12/20/2020 Good Morning Brothers and Sisters & Merry Christmas!   Heavenly Father must know my preferred method for giving a talk is procrastinating because I have been called to fill in last minute on many occasions.   However, this is the first time it’s happened on Christmas Sunday.   But I am happy to be here with you and I’m so grateful for technology that allows us to meet and worship together, especially during this Christmas season.   I’m not gonna lie, this is weird speaking on zoom.   I much prefer being together and making eye contact with you and seeing your encouraging smiles.   So please bear with any awkwardness I may have.   When initially asked to speak, Brother Smith gave me the topic of “How Christ’s birth is significant to me.”   My initial response was, could that topic be any broader?   But then gratefully he followed it up with “Particularly from the prosp...

Kid's Talks

  Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready.
