Who would have ever thought the day would come. Honestly, I think I am more sad than relieved. I have always been one of those weird kids who loved school. Honestly, when I was in third grade, I asked my teacher on the last day of school if she could give me extra math problems to do over the summer. I loved it! She probably gave me a couple thousand problems to do and I'm pretty sure I finished them all within the first couple weeks of summer break. I was an odd child, but I truly love to learn! My BYU experience has been amazing. I cannot put into words how wonderful it has been to even give you a glimpse of it. I would have never imagined that school college would do so much for me. Not only learning what is taught in school, but truly learning about life and learning about me. To celebrate my graduating from college we decided to go on a cruise! Lucky us, it turned out to be more of a graduating present from my parents which was super nice. We had such a blast! It was just a quick little 3 night cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada. Our first night on the boat which happened to be Jeff's birthday, we decided to play bingo. Why not? And who would have guessed it . . . WE WON!! $300 cash that they gave to us right then!! It did not even seam real! It was so awesome. We laughed so hard! We had fun in Catalina browsing all the shops and snorkeling. In Ensenda we had a blast riding 4-wheelers all over their "wine country." It is in quotes because that is what they called it but it looked a lot more like desert to us. That was super fun. The city itself is pretty much a hole and we didn't know what to do all day. Jeff and I Love to do many things! We have a wide variety of interests, unfortunately school keeps us pretty busy so we dont have much time to do anything but study. But you have to make time every once and a while so when we do, this is what we do! BONDOCKS! We have only been here once but it was a blast! They have all sorts of fun things such as lazer tag, rock climbing, mini golf, go carts, and video games. We went with Tyler and Kiel and i'm happy to report I wopped 'em at go carts! Jeff and Tyler always rave about riding go carts on the Dodger trip so I had to prove myself. I didn't lose a single race! But the we had fun doing everything. Our second favorite thing to do was play lazer tag. We were all like little kids again. We can't wait to go back! Hand & Foot We love playing cards and one of our favorite games is Hand & Foot. Instead of going home to California for Thanksgiving for only a day because I had to work the Saturday after for the BYU vs. Utah football game, Jeff and I had Thanksgiving at our place. My parents decided to come out for it, which was really nice. It was quite an adventure cooking that big mean in our little abode, and there is no way could have cooked dinner without them there. Started with dad teaching Jeff how to prep the turkey for the oven. This was definitely not Jeff's favorite part mainly because he hates touching raw meat, but he did it and he did a great job! It was actually a lot of fun and we had tons of great food! A delicious Turkey, semi-delicious mashed potatoes (I messed them up somehow), gravy, corn, green bean casserole , yummy mashed yams, jello, and I'm probably leaving something out. I figured since we haven't been so good at writing in our journals we can and should use this as our journal. If that is the case we have quite a bit of ground to cover! So let's start from the beginning! Jeff and I were married on December 30, 2006. It was literally the perfect day! The sun was shining, the sky was blue. The only problems we had were that the palm trees at the temple had just been trimmed so they are funny little stubs and the other problem was that there was some sort of a problem with getting the song we wanted to dance to at our reception and as a result Tim just picked a new song for us. Really not a big deal at all, but unfortunately to this day I still do not know the name of the song we danced to at our wedding. LOL , kind of funny really. Well, believe it or not Jeff and I are going on a cruise! And lucky us it is only a week away!! We are so excited! It has been a long time since we have done something for us and we have plenty of things to celebrate. The ship actually departs on Jeff's birthday, April 28, I'm graduating college, we never celebrated our anniversary, I could go on and on. I had quite the long list because it took me a while to convince Jeff that we needed to go. Luckily my parents sided with me and decided to help us out. I owe them big! But needless to say I am ecstatic!! This is a map of where we are headed. It is a simple 4 night cruise where we will first go to Catalina Island and spend the day there. YAY! I finally figured out how to get pictures up here. I'm so excited! Other then that I don't have much to report today, I just thought I would jump on and see if I could figure it out and I did. Just focusing on school and finals . . . at least trying. I was talking to Jeff today and mentioned that today was the first time I ever studied on campus on a reading day. HA HA kind of funny, especially since I have been here for 5 years and reading days are supposed to be designated just for studying. I however have always seen them as rest days before the finals begin. I need to give my brain a break if I want to even try to do well on finals. Poor Jeff on the other hand studies his brains out. For example he and his accounting group have scheduled study rooms in the library for over 50 hrs this week. WHO STUDIES THAT MUCH!
