Mommy School

So my kids miss school and surprisingly it is not just the friends.  We still see our friends almost everyday, but lately, they have been wanting to write letters, read books, color, and craft a lot more than usual.  One day I decided to ask them, do you miss school?  Sure enough they both said yes.  I asked if they would like to have our own little school at home and they both got SOOOO excited.

I found this awesome idea from the red kitchen and thought it would be perfect!  I found a pocket folder at the dollar store and put this bad boy together for ourselves (doesn't look as cute & even as I would like, but the kids love it and that is all the matters right?).

The kids will get to move the little boy and girl down as we move on to the next subject.  

I'm really excited about this for so many reasons!  
  • I have been a slacker mom lately. I've just been trying to get things done rather then just be with the kids.  This will give me at least 30 minutes a day where I am just with them.  All my attention will be on them.  
  • I'm excited because I know they are going to LOVE IT!  
  • I am excited because it takes almost no prep aside from choosing an activity & game to play.
  • I'm excited because I added scripture time to the list which if you read my talk is the next thing I want to try and master with the kids.
  • And I'm excited because it will be fun for me too!

This is going to be great!  Now we just need to get started!

Kid's Talks

  Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready.
