A Craft Bug

I just spent an hour browsing blogs with awesome crafts and now I really want to start crafting! I'm so amazed at how creative people are and I'm so happy they are willing to share their ideas with the world. I never realized that there are SOOOO MANY super cheap yet super cute ideas.

Anyway, I'm just curious what are your favorite craft/creative/idea blogs?

There are so many I'm kinda intimidated.

What crafts are on your to do list?

Where do you get your inspiration?

http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/ : this blog has a TON of great tutorials that I have done. Unfortunately, when I got really into her blog she decided to take a hiatus so she doesn't post a lot anymore...but you can still browse her tutorials.

http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/ :This one is also a great resource. She posts lots of tutorials and links out to other craft blogs when she finds a tutorial she likes.

I try to just pull inspiration from things that I see and put my own spin on it. Sometimes I just do an image search for certain things to pull inspiration from. For instance, if I want to make a new felt flower I will do an image search for felt flowers to see what other people have done. Then I normally find 2-3 styles I like and mix them together.

I love crafts, have fun!

Sweet! I think this is a great idea. I just put together a list actually this last week of things I'm going to do. I'm going to make some soft baby blocks this week.

I got sucked into the craft blog crawl this last week. The one I got the most ideas off of was prudentbaby.com, but I think I crashed safari I had so many windows open with ideas! I'm on a "I can sew!" kick, we'll see if all the projects actually get done. :)

dana-made-it.com has fabulous tutorials, and way cute stuff. (She's my sister-in-law so I might be biast, but I love her stuff!)

Ucreate is a good blog to follow as well. She picks a great tutorial everyday and features it in her blog. So then you get links to all the craft blogs!

Oh and I recommend looking into www.pinterest.com. It will put a button on your tool bar, but when you come across an idea/tutorial or something you click it and it will bring up pictures from the webpage. Decide which picture you want and then it stores it for you. When you are ready to make something you go to you page and it has it all. You can sort it how you like it as well. We seriously will have to make some time, and I can show you a few things if you teach me how to use this dang cricut!

So now that he really could come ANY DAY I figured it was probably time for me to pack my bag. I of course have one of those "What to bring" checklist, but I was wondering what your thoughts where. Is there anything you wish you had brought but didn't? Is there anything you would have died without if you hadn't brought it? I'm just so clueless! Have you noticed?

I need a haircut ASAP! This is me saying, "I'll smile if you ignore my hair." Don't get me wrong, I am really excited I have long hair, I love having long hair , but it needs a little TLC. It has been a few months since I have even got a trim and I am still re-couping from a not so good hair cut. The last few times I have really CUT my hair, not just a trim, I was not pleased with the results. Now it would probably help if I was willing to pay more than $10 for a hair cut . . . but I'm Mrs. High Pockets as my father calls me and it is really hard for me to spend money on my hair. So I need your help! What do you think I should do? Before you make any suggestions you should know: It MUST be able to go back into a ponytail!!!!!!! My hair is STICK STRAIGHT My hair will not curl to save my life (via over night curls, hot curls, even curling irons, they just don't work) I want and need something EASY! No Use Crying Over Spilled Milk . . .

So being an emotional pregnant woman is definitely taking its tole on both me and Jeff (what a wonderful, patient, and understanding man he is). Saturday morning I was so excited because for the first time in weeks we actually had a morning together. I had planned to make us a delicious breakfast just like my dad always did for me. We had Eggs, Hashbrowns, and even Bacon; we were so excited. So I started cooking the bacon first, knowing it would take the longest. Then when I thought they were close to being done, Jeff started cooking the eggs and I threw on the hashbrowns. Well, needless to say, the eggs finished super fast and the others were not even close. And then to add more to my frustration the pan I was using for the hashbrowns was awful! Despite my many tablespoons of butter the entire thing was completely stuck! I switched pans in the middle to try to save them. In the meantime Jeff ate his eggs so they wouldn't get cold. I insisted on waiting so I could eat th...
