My first born son will be turning 2 years old in exactly one month, one week, and one day.

It is kind of blowing my mind. I am really excited and although we have some rough moments, I am loving every minute of this age! I am amazed at how very smart he is. He truly LOVES learning! He will ask me what something is, and then never have to ask it again. He has an amazing memory. His most recently favorite words will tell you a little about what we have been up to:

Mustache - Playing with Mr. Potato head for at least 3 hrs a day.

Exclamation - Reading lots of books and pointing out all of the Exclamation Marks (and yes, he notices ALL OF THEM).

Mommy's Turn, Parker's Turn, Emily's Turn - No matter what we are doing, we each get a turn and P gets to designate whose turn it is. I'd say he is really good at sharing considering his age.

Well, that's it for now. Obviously we are doing other things too but this pretty much sums it up. Life is good. I love this little boy and I'm so excited to throw him a real birthday party this year! Especially since he has real friends, who he calls by name, and asks to play with them multiple times a day. It will be fun!

And just another FYI, Em is 8 months on Wednesday ... seriously ... where does time go????

I actually was JUST thinking about how much older they're getting. Can't believe EM is at the age Parker was when you found out you were expecting her! My oh my. I hope this means our vacation will get here sooner if time is flying THIS fast!

  How is Christ’s Birth Significant to me Talk on 12/20/2020 Good Morning Brothers and Sisters & Merry Christmas!   Heavenly Father must know my preferred method for giving a talk is procrastinating because I have been called to fill in last minute on many occasions.   However, this is the first time it’s happened on Christmas Sunday.   But I am happy to be here with you and I’m so grateful for technology that allows us to meet and worship together, especially during this Christmas season.   I’m not gonna lie, this is weird speaking on zoom.   I much prefer being together and making eye contact with you and seeing your encouraging smiles.   So please bear with any awkwardness I may have.   When initially asked to speak, Brother Smith gave me the topic of “How Christ’s birth is significant to me.”   My initial response was, could that topic be any broader?   But then gratefully he followed it up with “Particularly from the prosp...

Kid's Talks

  Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready.
