It's that time again

Time for what you might ask.
Time for some of that good ol' mushy-gushy, lovey-dovey type stuff.
I never got around to doing it for our Anniversary so what better time than Valentines day.

First of all, can I say that I wish I was better with words.  Everyday I sit here and read all of my friends blogs and am just envious of their writing skills.  You have probably noticed by now, but I'm not the best with words.  I write exactly how I talk, which I guess is OK for journaling and posterity's sake.  But one of these days, I would love to be like those people who after the first sentence you are captivated and you read every single sentence because it is just so awesome even when they are talking about nothing.  Anyway, that is not me, but I am thankful for my faithful readers who hang in there through all the grammatical errors, spelling issues, and exclamation happy post.  I love you readers!

OK, now that that is off my chest, on to the mushy stuff.  : )

As I was thinking about how I wanted to do this post, a lot of thoughts crossed my mind.  I could do a list of the million reasons why I love my main squeeze or just dedicate a public love letter to him but those ideas weren't tickling my fancy.  I know how you all love pictures, mostly because I love pictures on other blogs.

So here is a short list of my favorite things about our love.

i LOVE that friendship is the basis of our relationship

He is my best friend and has been for what seems like FOREVER!
(Any guesses on how old we are here.  lol!)

i LOVE that we are silly together.
Being goofy and ridiculous is kind of my favorite thing to do

i LOVE that you took me to the temple
And that you continue to do so.

i LOVE that you make me feel like I can fly.
You always value my opinion and put my needs above your own.
i LOVE that I am still this giddy and excited everyday to be your wife
Everyday is a new crazy, busy adventure but being your wife is my favorite role

i LOVE that you are willing to put up with all of my cheesy needs.
This would our first Valentine's day married.  We look so young!

i LOVE the way you look at our kids
You are an amazing father & a great example to them an me.
i LOVE that you are my partner
We have accomplished a lot together.
It still kinda blows my mind that we created 2 people!

Well, I could go on and on because there really are a zillion things I love about this man of mine, but I'll end with this in honor of V-day.

i LOVE that I can kiss you anytime I want!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Love it - and I love how your writing is how you talk. Honestly, I love that because I read what you write and I feel like we're roommates again talking about life. You TOTALLY have a "voice" to your writing, and I love it. :)

I love that you guys have known each other for so long.
Super cute pictures of when you were young...and "old" for that matter.

Cute! :) And what are you talking about??! I LOVE reading your blog. It's always so fun! :)

And can I guess that you guys are like 14 in that picture?? (Ryan and I have one similar--on a bus--and we were about 14/15) :)

Rebecca, you are so adorable! I enjoyed reading and looking at pictures of your beautiful family. How sweet that you and Jeff grew up together. Your love for each other is inspiring.
I'd say you were about 13-14 in the picture.

What to pack . . .

So now that he really could come ANY DAY I figured it was probably time for me to pack my bag. I of course have one of those "What to bring" checklist, but I was wondering what your thoughts where. Is there anything you wish you had brought but didn't? Is there anything you would have died without if you hadn't brought it? I'm just so clueless! A few tips from you experienced mothers would be greatly appreciated!! I cant believe it is so close!!

Have you noticed?

I need a haircut ASAP! This is me saying, "I'll smile if you ignore my hair." Don't get me wrong, I am really excited I have long hair, I love having long hair , but it needs a little TLC. It has been a few months since I have even got a trim and I am still re-couping from a not so good hair cut. The last few times I have really CUT my hair, not just a trim, I was not pleased with the results. Now it would probably help if I was willing to pay more than $10 for a hair cut . . . but I'm Mrs. High Pockets as my father calls me and it is really hard for me to spend money on my hair. So I need your help! What do you think I should do? Before you make any suggestions you should know: It MUST be able to go back into a ponytail!!!!!!! My hair is STICK STRAIGHT My hair will not curl to save my life (via over night curls, hot curls, even curling irons, they just don't work) I want and need something EASY! I do not like to spend time on my hair and I don...

No Use Crying Over Spilled Milk . . .

So being an emotional pregnant woman is definitely taking its tole on both me and Jeff (what a wonderful, patient, and understanding man he is). Saturday morning I was so excited because for the first time in weeks we actually had a morning together. I had planned to make us a delicious breakfast just like my dad always did for me. We had Eggs, Hashbrowns, and even Bacon; we were so excited. So I started cooking the bacon first, knowing it would take the longest. Then when I thought they were close to being done, Jeff started cooking the eggs and I threw on the hashbrowns. Well, needless to say, the eggs finished super fast and the others were not even close. And then to add more to my frustration the pan I was using for the hashbrowns was awful! Despite my many tablespoons of butter the entire thing was completely stuck! I switched pans in the middle to try to save them. In the meantime Jeff ate his eggs so they wouldn't get cold. I insisted on waiting so I could eat th...
