3, 4, & 5 Months

Man, I'm either a slacker or time flies!! Maybe a little bit of both. This summer has FLOWN by! We only have a couple weeks left here in CA which is sad but we are excited to get back to Utah and all of our friends there. But Parker has grown like a weed this summer! It is so hard to believe. Even compared to other babies I see, he is a giant in comparison. I looked up his stats the other day and they are as follows:

Weight: 17 lbs - 50-75%

Height: 24.5 inches - 5-10%

Head circumference - 18% ABOVE 95%

So he is short with average weight and a HUGE noggin, but I don't think he looks out of proportion but then again I am a little biased. Anyway, here are some pictures from the past 3 months, sorry I am such a slacker, hopefully I'll be better once we get back to school. Enjoy!

Some of my recent favorites:

  • He still screams bloody murder if you dare interrupt him while he is eating and I still find it hilarious.
  • He is laughing a lot more now which is the BEST!
  • He is always smiling! We are blessed with such an amazing baby. He is truly only sad when he is hungry.
  • He gets super excited and shakes his arms and legs to express it
  • He is SUPER talkative. I think he is going to take after his mother in this way, my parents used to call me Motor-Mouth. So it might drive me crazy in a couple of years, but for now I cant get enough of it!
  • He loves to eat his feet which is also fun to watch.
  • He still loves to fly, read books, and look at the adorable baby in the mirror.
  • He can sit up by himself which is fun and can roll halfway over
  • He is even starting to scoot to his toys that are out of reach. I don't think I'm ready for him to be mobile yet . . .
  • It is fun to feed him, he loves to chew on the spoon.
  • He also likes to hold his own bottle
  • He is really starting to develop a personality now and know how to whine to get our attention. The best part is as soon as we turn to him he is all smiles. Such a faker!!
  • He is sleeping great and can really recognize people now.
He is so much fun!!! I am amazed that I love him more and more each day!!

Holding the bottle

No, i'm not sucking on my big toe . ..

You cought me again! I just love my feet!

I came home from Cake decorating to find Jeff' and his brother playing Wii and Parker like this. I couldn't help but laugh. What a trooper, I dont know how he slept through that noise let alone in this position. Silly Boys!

Parker is so cute! I agree, they grow like weeds. It makes me sad sometimes that they grow so fast.
I'm so excited to see you guys in a few weeks!
I think by then I can go walking (maybe shorter walks), so we should go walking while the weather is still warm!

Hooray! I'm so excited to see you guys and hold Parker because the last time I did was when you were moving and he was tiny! We'll have to start up FHE again, if you guys want to. I'm so happy to get my husband AND my best friends back! what a long summer

The Light of the World

I was asked to give a talk yesterday in church.  Kinda daunting knowing it was Christmas Sunday, but I think it went pretty well.  I like remembering my talk so I'm throwing it up here mainly for my own record.  But maybe it will bless the lives of others too.  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that the Light of Christ will be upon you and radiate from you now and forever. Jesus Christ: The Light of the World Rebecca’s talk given on 12/20/2015 Jesus Christ.  Can a topic be any broader? I have spent a lot of time over the last 6 weeks trying to decide what direction I wanted to go and I kept going back to the same thought, Jesus is the light of the world.  This is not an insignificant statement, but very profound and very important.  Let’s start from the beginning. Many Prophets have testified of the fact that Jesus Christ is the light of the world long before the Savior was even born.  The very first sign of his bir...

Because God Love's Us

How is Christ’s Birth Significant to me Talk on 12/20/2020 Good Morning Brothers and Sisters & Merry Christmas!   Heavenly Father must know my preferred method for giving a talk is procrastinating because I have been called to fill in last minute on many occasions.   However, this is the first time it’s happened on Christmas Sunday.   But I am happy to be here with you and I’m so grateful for technology that allows us to meet and worship together, especially during this Christmas season.   I’m not gonna lie, this is weird speaking on zoom.   I much prefer being together and making eye contact with you and seeing your encouraging smiles.   So please bear with any awkwardness I may have.   When initially asked to speak, Brother Smith gave me the topic of “How Christ’s birth is significant to me.”   My initial response was, could that topic be any broader?   But then gratefully he followed it up with “Particularly from the prosp...

Kid's Talks

Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready. We should all remember how important baptism is.   I am really excited I get to be baptized next year.   In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen Faith Parker’s Talk   2/16/20   Today, my talk is going to be about f...
