We are DONE!

Believe it or not, WE ARE DONE with school!! It is amazing , and weird , and crazy , and hard for us to believe! We have been Poor College Students for so long, it is really all we know. We had a great week celebrating Jeff's Graduation with both of our families. It was so great to have them here, we were so sad when they all had to leave. We filled the week with lots of food, visiting, Jeff's ceremonies, pictures, and of course lots of playing with the P man. He LOVED having his grandparents here and we can tell me misses them already. We are really looking forward to moving home where they will be close all the time (and I think they are even more excited then we are!). Things went really well with graduation. The ceremonies were a little long, but P did surprisingly well, especially with how thrown off his sleep schedule was. He refused to take naps during the day, the grandparents are way more fun then naps apparently. But he would eventually crash on one of us and that li...

Clothes Party for the Little Lady

My wonderful friends out here in Utah threw me a Clothes Party to help us get ready for this little girl. I was really starting to stress about her coming and us not being ready. After my dear friends spoiled us rotten, I'm feeling good. I just spent that last little while organizing all of the clothes we have to figure out what sizes we had and what sizes we need, and I can confidently say that we are set for the first 6 months! And I've only bought 1 thing! We are truly truly blessed to have so many friends and family that love and support us. So thank you so much! We owe you big time! And I can hardly wait to see how adorable this little lady will look in all these wonderful clothes! :) I wish we didn't have to wait 6 more weeks, I'm so ready! Thank You So Much!!!!

Recent Happenings & P-man Updates

Well, I feel like a lot has happened recently that I have not shared with you, so here goes a catch up post. Just a heads up, this is COMPLETELY random and in no particular order, just things I felt like sharing. Enjoy. Serious Face This is P's most recent trick and it CRACKS ME UP!!! This picture does not even do it justice, nor does the video clip (that for some reason appeared at the end of the post). He started doing this a few days ago and we are currently teaching him to do it on command. This was the first time we were able to semi catch it on camera. I'm hoping to get an even better one soon, but really it is so funny! You REALLY should check out the video clip at the end of this post . I wish we would have filmed just 5 minutes sooner, because he was really funny then. He gets to the point where he tries to hold the serious face, but is about to laugh, but he is trying to hold it back . . . too funny! He is such a silly boy, I adore him! Our Pal Cody This is o...

I Read A BOOK!

In Fact, I have read 3 books within the past week! For those of you who really know me, I hope the title of this post did not put you into Cardiac Arrest. I have NEVER been a reader. I don't know why, but I just don't love it like the majority of my family and friends do. I am much more a DOer. I like to go out and DO things then just sit around and read. But the past few years I have had more of a desire to read. There are so many books out there that I really want to read, I just don't want to sit down and read them. I have been collecting book after book the past few Christmases and just barely cracking them. So now things have finally settled down a little and before they get crazy again, I'm taking some time to read for myself. I got this book a little over a year ago I think. Either toward the end of my pregnancy or right after P was born. I flipped through it in the bookstore and got really excited about it, So I Got it! And I'm SOOOO Glad I DID!! This is re...

A Mother of Two?

So I have been thinking quite a bit lately, I know a dangerous thing. As I have been running around with Parker and playing with him, I cant help but think that these are the last couple of weeks of just me and him. And as excited as I am to have this little lady join our family, I'm not going to lie, I am also scared to death! Our little life is so perfect right now. I have a perfect, happy, healthy child and I finally feel like I have the hang of this motherhood thing. In a few short weeks everything will change. I am so excited to have a little girl, but I cant help but worry about P. The first few weeks and even months a newborn sucks up ALL of your time. I know Parker is still young, which will hopefully make this transition a little easier, but he knows when he isn't getting the attention he needs and wants. And knowing that is going to happen just kills me! Now I know we will have family and friends that will be more than happy to take him and play with him, but when wil...

What do you feed your Toddlers?

I know this is pretty random, but I am in need of some help from you fellow mothers. Every since P turned one I don't know what to feed him. All the doctors say is "Anything." But that really doesn't help me much. He has been eating pretty much the same things everyday for months and I really want and need to add some variety for the poor little guy. This is what I normally give him: Baby Cereal (I still have TONS left over from WIC so I just add whole milk to it) Applesauce Bananas PB & J Bread Yogurt Cheerios Goldfish A little of whatever we have for dinner That is about it. Help! I need ideas! Thanks! Also, for those interested, I did another post on the Parenting Blog today. Feel free to check it out! www.parentsareimportant.com

P's New Tricks

It seems in the past month P has learned how to do so much!! It is so fun to watch him learn and master new skills. He is so silly! I haven't been so good at taking pictures and videos lately so most of these are from the past 24 hours (except the laughing video, that one is about a month old). He is still a happy happy boy and SOOOO busy and active. Always needs to be doing something. He is starting to talk a lot more. I feel like everyday he learns a new word. I need to be better about catching it on film. So far he can say: Mama, Dada, Truck, Duck, Balloon, & Banana (nana). Here are a few snip-its of what he is up to lately; Talking, Waving, Laughing, and just having fun! Waving Balloon Fun Laughing Talking
