Ooo My Big Bell!

I have truly been blessed with an amazing pregnancy. For the most part it has been such a positive and wonderful experience for me. Although the "Big Bell" - that's what Jeff & I call it - can be frustrating, there are MANY things I am going to miss about it. I have become quite fond of my Big Bell. One of my friends made up a list and I thought it was a good idea to remember what it is like. So here are some things I am going to miss about the Big Bell: 1. My Flat Button!! It is so funny to me how everyone is different. Although I was slightly saddened by the fact that my Belly Button never popped out, I LOVE that it is flat! This sounds silly, but it is really one of my favorite things in the world to just rub my flat button. The skin there is extra soft and smooth . . . not to mention it just looks funny. I will definitely miss the flat belly button. 2. Watching The Bell Shift. This too is quite an amazing thing. Just watching him roll around and kick inside the...

Water Aerobics

At 38 weeks I'm still feeling good (at least as good as a humongous pregnant woman can feel). With only 10 days till my due date I went to a water aerobics class. I'm not gonna lie, it was rough bouncing around with that big belly, but I must admit that I feel much better now. Being in the water felt so good on my poor joints. Part of me really just wanted to float around. Secretly I was hoping all of the jumping around would trigger my labor, but alas it did not. I guess he is perfectly content in there. As for other updates for those who want to know . . . my last appointment I was 70% effaced but still only dilated to 1cm. At least I'm making some sort of progress. Hopefully being active will help things progress, but I'm not holding my breath. The doctor kindly reminded me that first time births are usually late and said that right after he told me he would be very surprised if our little man weighed less than 9 lbs. Woo Hoo! What I have to look forward t...

What to pack . . .

So now that he really could come ANY DAY I figured it was probably time for me to pack my bag. I of course have one of those "What to bring" checklist, but I was wondering what your thoughts where. Is there anything you wish you had brought but didn't? Is there anything you would have died without if you hadn't brought it? I'm just so clueless! A few tips from you experienced mothers would be greatly appreciated!! I cant believe it is so close!!

A restless night

So I cant sleep. I'm still trying to decide if it is because my mind is racing a million miles a minute about the fact I could have this child tomorrow, or if it is just the end of pregnancy lack of comfort. I truly think it is my minds fault. Although I would love to be holding my little baby in my arms rather than my belly, I feel like I still have a million things to do before he comes! Not to mention . . . tomorrow just isn't the best day for me. And then I think to myself, what kind of a mother am I!! I'm already putting my needs before his, even in regards to his birth! I just keep telling my self over and over again that Heavenly Father knows best and he will deliver my son to me just at the right time. I had finally started feeling better about things (in regards to his position). I honestly thought he had turned back around based on the movement I had been feeling. But yet again, all night the movement I have been feeling is very low which concerns me. So...

Could it really get bigger?

About a month ago, I honestly thought I had reached my limit . . . . apparently I was wrong! My question now with approximately 20 days to go . . . Can it really get any bigger? I guess only time will tell. Until then I shall keep a smile on my face while at the same time putting a smile on all those who happen to see me.

It's been a while

Well, it has been a while since I have posted anything, so I figured I should update. First of all . . . HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! Unfortunately I sit here at work instead of home with my hubby, but at least it is an early game. Life is going wonderfully! The past few days have been great! The time has not only passed quickly but I have been feeling really good which I am so grateful for! The week started out a nightmare! I caught a cold on Sunday which was very unfortunate and unexpected. Having a cold on top of pregnancy, let alone the last couple weeks of pregnancy is for sure the worst thing ever! Luckily, it has passed pretty quickly and all I suffer from now is a stuffed head and a sore throat. Monday I had a doctor's appointment when I had been looking forward to for a couple of weeks. I was almost positive they were going to tell me that I was dilated to at least a 3 and that I would have this baby any day. But of course it was quite the opposite . . . I wasn'...
