So one of my friends decided to throw an AWESOME Halloween party this year. It was a Roaring 20's Speakeasy Murder Mystery and let me tell you, they went ALL OUT. I was so impressed and hope to someday throw a party that is even half as cool as this one was. I seriously felt so cool from the moment I walked in the door, it was like we literally went back in time. Despite my best efforts to dress like a flapper, I really ended up looking like an innocent little 1920's girl that certainly did not belong at a speakeasy, but luckily they didn't kick me out. Everyone else's costumes were AMAZING! I felt so out of place standing next to them they looked that good.
Me and the Hubs started out by playing a game of pool, which I won... by default... after I had already lost by default but the hubs let the game continue. Doesn't he look like such a stud in this shot! :)
The party took place in a room that had an actual bar. They made up some awesome virgin drinks that were made to order and boy were they tasty! Well, all except the Tabasco sauce and Ginger Ale shots we decided to take... not the greatest idea we ever had.
We also played a murder mystery game. I was the second to last one alive and I totally knew who the killer was but didn't get a chance to call him out before he killed me. Bummer. We all had slips of paper that said how we were to die, I spun to death. Jeff Hiccuped to death. Another person sung to death. It was a riot!
I am so glad we had the chance to go. It was so fun to do something Halloween related that did not involve kids and candy (not that I am opposed to that, but this was just the date night we needed!) and we were able to make some new friends too. :)
You really need to check out Elyse and Ashley's blogs. Their post do the party much more justice. They have way more pics, and are much better with words then me. Not to mention Elyse put videos of both the girls and the boys taking the shots... awesome! Thanks for an awesome evening and the pics to remember it by. You guys are the best!
