3 Months & Back in the Bay

Ok, seriously, time goes by WAY TOO FAST! Em is already 3 months! And I'm already not doing very good at taking pictures of her. I totally missed her 2 month shots and am now a week late for her 3 month shots. Luckily I have an AWESOME friend who took some shots when she was about 1 month and this is my favorite. Thanks Janneke! Isn't she awesome!

I'm amazed at how great Em is doing. She is still a little on the fussy side, but I blame that on the acid reflux, I would be fussy too! She so far she is tall and skinny but is quickly getting "thunder thighs" as we call them with rolls so deep they are hard to clean. She is still eating and spitting up like a champ. She is now in 3-6 month clothes because she is so long. She is sleeping GREAT! Usually 8 hrs and then 4 hrs but usually once a week she will wake up every 2 hours. She smiles all the time and LOVES to talk. She still doesn't mind tummy time if she is in the mood. And she LOVES to watch her big brother play!

We are back in the Bay and have been for about a week now. It is hard to believe! It is so nice to be close to the family, but we do miss all of our friends! We are trying hard to get settled and find a place to live, but both are daunting tasks. I just keep telling myself "slow and steady wins the race," although I don't think I really believe it.

P man is doing great! Everyone is amazed at how much he talks. Everyday I think I will try and count but really it is WAY too many; definitely over 100 words. Everyday he points at something new and says what it is and I am always shocked to learn that he knows it. He loves to make animal noises and play with animals too. He can spot dogs from a mile a way! He is recently enjoying learning the letters of the alphabet and knows M, O, S, and E and perhaps more. He also loves to sing the ABCs and will sing along when you get to LMNOP and Z. This is one smart cookie! He definitely has his dad's brains! (Who by the way got a perfect score on one of the sections of the CPA exam, you know, the one he thought he wasn't going to pass) Anyway, at the rate P is going, he will be smarter than me by Kindergarten!

Jeff starts work a week from today and I'll be honest, I'm really not ready for that. It has been so nice having him around 24-7 all summer. Me and the kids are going to miss him a lot! It will be quite the adjustment, luckily we have family and friends to go hang out with.

Well, that should catch us up for now. I'll try to post more pictures soon.

I'm happy for you guys that you were able to get a job and move back to the bay area! I envy you! Which firm is he working for? Cody is taking the CPA exam right now and applying for jobs. I'm curious. Which section did he get a perfect score on? It's so stressful right now for cody. He has only taken the first section and we don't know how he did yet.

What to pack . . .

So now that he really could come ANY DAY I figured it was probably time for me to pack my bag. I of course have one of those "What to bring" checklist, but I was wondering what your thoughts where. Is there anything you wish you had brought but didn't? Is there anything you would have died without if you hadn't brought it? I'm just so clueless! A few tips from you experienced mothers would be greatly appreciated!! I cant believe it is so close!!

Have you noticed?

I need a haircut ASAP! This is me saying, "I'll smile if you ignore my hair." Don't get me wrong, I am really excited I have long hair, I love having long hair , but it needs a little TLC. It has been a few months since I have even got a trim and I am still re-couping from a not so good hair cut. The last few times I have really CUT my hair, not just a trim, I was not pleased with the results. Now it would probably help if I was willing to pay more than $10 for a hair cut . . . but I'm Mrs. High Pockets as my father calls me and it is really hard for me to spend money on my hair. So I need your help! What do you think I should do? Before you make any suggestions you should know: It MUST be able to go back into a ponytail!!!!!!! My hair is STICK STRAIGHT My hair will not curl to save my life (via over night curls, hot curls, even curling irons, they just don't work) I want and need something EASY! I do not like to spend time on my hair and I don...

No Use Crying Over Spilled Milk . . .

So being an emotional pregnant woman is definitely taking its tole on both me and Jeff (what a wonderful, patient, and understanding man he is). Saturday morning I was so excited because for the first time in weeks we actually had a morning together. I had planned to make us a delicious breakfast just like my dad always did for me. We had Eggs, Hashbrowns, and even Bacon; we were so excited. So I started cooking the bacon first, knowing it would take the longest. Then when I thought they were close to being done, Jeff started cooking the eggs and I threw on the hashbrowns. Well, needless to say, the eggs finished super fast and the others were not even close. And then to add more to my frustration the pan I was using for the hashbrowns was awful! Despite my many tablespoons of butter the entire thing was completely stuck! I switched pans in the middle to try to save them. In the meantime Jeff ate his eggs so they wouldn't get cold. I insisted on waiting so I could eat th...
