Best Friends

Have I mentioned that P has some amazing friends?? Well, he does. I have been meaning to do a post about this since about ... October! So here it finally is. P and I have made some awesome friends since we have moved back here. It started out walking every morning with Holly, JD, and their mommy. It was so good to get out and exercise and have some girl chat. We loved it! And then Livvy and her mommy joined us too. It was great and we were good about going every morning too, until winter started. :( Since then we have tried to find some fun things to do inside. We see at least one of our friends everyday and sometimes twice a day, before and after nap time, if needed (by the moms that is). Lately me and the kids have been quarantined because of our sicknesses, but we are finally all feeling good again and are so happy we get to see our friends again! As you can tell by the pictures, P and L are seriously best friends! It has been so fun to watch their friendship develop over the pas...

Green Beans, The Airport, and a Ping Pong Ball

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my kids ? I feel like I have been so caught up lately in getting over illnesses and trying to stay busy that I forget how awesome these little ones are! For example: The other day I was driving home from a playgroup. It was lunch time. I asked P what he wanted for lunch. He thought about it for a minute and then shouted, "GREEN BEANS!!" Green beans, really? So I made the boy some green beans and he ate a half a can! Silly kid. I wont complain, eat as many green beans as you want! Now for the little lady. She just recently got over RSV which luckily wasn't too severe and didn't last long. Can I tell you that since she got over this she is a new baby. She is almost 100 times happier then she has been her entire life! Don't get me wrong, I love this little girl to death, but she has been a challenge for me. But now she is so happy, crawling around, laughing and smiling all the time! It is so fun! And she recent...

Shamrock Shakes & March Madness!

A friend of mine introduced me to this amazing treat last year via her blog (thanks Oriah !). I thought I should do the same just in case some are unaware of this St. Patty's day treat! If you have never had one and you happen to like mint-flavored milkshakes please go get one asap! You will not be disappointed. In other news, today is the first day of the NCAA tournament. A few weeks ago I was REALLY excited about this tournament. I am still excited just because I love basketball, but i fear my team will not be going as far as I was originally expecting. I'm still trying to be positive, but I hope this kid doesn't have to do it all alone. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm hoping to celebrate with a Cougar win followed by a delicious Shamrock Shake with the hubs.

Library Love

As I have said before, I am not a book person. I do however REALLY want my kids to be book people because I know of its many many benefits. So I'm trying really hard to introduce them to books and to make it fun. So far it is working! P LOVES books! I have a strange addiction to buying books which is good and not good at the same time. But now I have a solution to the problem, it is called the local library . I know, not foreign to most people, but the concept to me was a little intimidating. For months I have been bringing the kids to toddler/baby story time which has been fun. I thought I was such a good mom for doing it too. lol . But it hasn't been until recently that I actually started checking books out. Can I tell you, IT IS AMAZING! Parker LOVES it! At first I was kinda intimidated and would just grab a few random books and hurry out the door in hopes that at least one would be good. There are SOOOO many books I didn't really know where to begin. ...

A Blink of the Eye and P is 2!!

But if you ask him he will say "FFFIVE!!!!!!"Actually, know he knows he is 2 and will respond with that, but if he is feeling silly he will still say 5, cracks me up every time! P turned 2 on Thursday and we celebrated through the weekend! The main parties were Saturday. We had one in the morning for friends, then had a slight intermission called Nap Time, and then the whole family came over to celebrate with dinner, cake, ice cream & presents. It was an awesome day! It was my first time participating in a kid birthday with the exception of my own birthdays as a kid so I was kinda nervous but mostly SUPER excited for it. I did lots of planning and tried to find as much Mr. Potato Head things I could. It was kind of silly for me to think that there would be any structure to a 2 year olds birthday party, but I am glad that I had some activities planned. I found a place online that had free Mr. Potato coloring pages so I based most of my ideas of what to do off of those...

Birthday Photobooth

I am Mr. Potato Head I saw this idea online and loved it! Luckily all our family and friend's humored me enough to participate. Thanks guys!
