So a few months ago I bought a living social ticket to Fairyland. I had heard great things about it from friends but had never been. It was such a great deal that I bought 2! I thought the timing was great so we could go as a family and then kinda forgot about them until the week before they expired. We had to use them up so we made daddy go to work late one Saturday and then brought some of our best buddies the following week. It was a blast!
If you haven't been you totally should! It is perfect for preschool age kids.
Fairyland with Daddy
You get to go through the "little old lady's" shoe to enter.
The 3 little Pigs
Random other tales and fun.
Em loved this wall of Nursery Rhymes. We went along the whole wall and looked at each picture and recited each rhyme.
Silly chairs with daddy
Riding the train.
This was one of P's favorite things the Alice in Wonderland, tunnel & maze.
Jack & Jill's hill was another favorite spot.
Daddy even loved it!
Although we didn't take any pictures, we attended the puppet show. The kids really liked it. It was short and silly, right up their ally. I'm thinking they are going to be much more excited to play with their puppets now.
There was this awesome Pirate Ship.
P climbed it.
P was bombarded with many many other kids.
P could not get down.
He stayed up there at least 15 mins.
Finally once most of the kids moved on I talked him down.
He was so scared but when he got to the bottom all by himself he was so proud!
P loved the Dragon Slide.
Em loved "reading" all the signs. It made me laugh so hard the things she said it said.
Our day ended Happily Ever After, just as all the best adventures do.
We headed out to the grass and enjoyed a picnic before we had to drop daddy off at BART.
The kids LOVED running around with daddy.
Fairyland with Buddies
Then entire week before we brought our friends with us the kids talked about it EVERYDAY. They were so excited to go with them and show them all of their favorite things. It was much busier the second time we went, but we still made the most of it. Since it hadn't been long since we were there P was a little too comfortable with the place and literally just took off running to see whatever he wanted since he knew right where it was. BAH! Talk about stressful. Needless to say we had MANY chats and lots of hand holding.
This time the kids really enjoyed going on the rides together.
The Jolly Train
H & P were the only ones willing to do the Farris wheel, but they LOVED it!
I was so proud of how brave they were to go without any grown-ups.
We made a new discovery and P enjoyed being the wicked witch.
We ended the day with a Picnic.
Both trips were so much fun. The kids have been asking to go back since we left. Randomly they will think about it and ask me, "Do you remember Fairyland?" I'm amazed at how much they learn from every little outing we go one. These kiddos really are sponges. So glad we have so many little places like this to go explore together. Life is so good! :)
