Half Way There!

20 Weeks!

Since I already posted about the Ultrasound, here are the pictures that I said I would put up. I ended up taking a picture of the picture, so they aren't amazing quality, but still pretty awesome!
Above: Profile - This one didn't come out very good because of the awkward position he was in at the time of the Ultrasound.

This is one of my very favorites! His little spine! It is so amazing that you can see every single little vertebrate! Technology is incredible!

This one the nurse really liked, I personally don't think it is extremely fascinating. Kinda gives you the general idea of how he is positioned . . . kinda. This is a picture of the tip of his head with his hands curled up close to the sides of his head.

This is my other Favorite! His little legs are crossed! You can see his feet, his shins, his knees, his thighs, and his lower waist. Pretty awesome!

Last but not least his little foot! During the ultrasound we could see him kicking, it was so neat!

The Ultrasound was amazing! I wish we could do another everyday until he is born! It is so neat to actually see him! It was also neat to see that the ultrasound was an important part of the examination of the fetus. I was amazed at the things she could see and measured. She took pictures of his Brain tissue and could tell that everything is going well. She measured the size of his head, and then made the comment, "Wow! That's a big head!" Not really the words I wanted to hear as I think about delivery, but it means he is healthy which is great! She even measured the size/length of his bones and his waist. It was all so wonderful and fascinating! So the Ultrasound really isn't just to make the parents happy, it is important for monitoring development, but I'm so glad we get to reap the benefits of it as well.

I loved the ultra sound pictures my fav is of his legs.. so sweet.
My sister Jac had two doctors for her twin pregnancy her reg. doctor and a high risk doctor. She met every 2 weeks with the high risk one and every 3 weeks for her regular. She was always at the doctors or on her way to the doctors. It was fun for us the family to see the pictures but for her having to go the appointment were difficult especially towards the end. Are you coming home anytime soon?

Ryan was taking this extra-curricular ultrasound class while I was pregnant, and there was equipment open to the use of the students. So Ryan gave me a couple more ultrasounds later on in the pregnancy and it was SO much fun!! I think seeing the baby is such a blast, and makes it seem so real! There really IS a baby boy inside of you!! How fun!! :) PS***you are super cute!!! Love the preggo pics! :)
What a bummer! Brad and I are driving up Friday afternoon. Geez we are always just missing eachother. Are you going to have a baby shower here in CA?

The Light of the World

I was asked to give a talk yesterday in church.  Kinda daunting knowing it was Christmas Sunday, but I think it went pretty well.  I like remembering my talk so I'm throwing it up here mainly for my own record.  But maybe it will bless the lives of others too.  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that the Light of Christ will be upon you and radiate from you now and forever. Jesus Christ: The Light of the World Rebecca’s talk given on 12/20/2015 Jesus Christ.  Can a topic be any broader? I have spent a lot of time over the last 6 weeks trying to decide what direction I wanted to go and I kept going back to the same thought, Jesus is the light of the world.  This is not an insignificant statement, but very profound and very important.  Let’s start from the beginning. Many Prophets have testified of the fact that Jesus Christ is the light of the world long before the Savior was even born.  The very first sign of his bir...

Because God Love's Us

How is Christ’s Birth Significant to me Talk on 12/20/2020 Good Morning Brothers and Sisters & Merry Christmas!   Heavenly Father must know my preferred method for giving a talk is procrastinating because I have been called to fill in last minute on many occasions.   However, this is the first time it’s happened on Christmas Sunday.   But I am happy to be here with you and I’m so grateful for technology that allows us to meet and worship together, especially during this Christmas season.   I’m not gonna lie, this is weird speaking on zoom.   I much prefer being together and making eye contact with you and seeing your encouraging smiles.   So please bear with any awkwardness I may have.   When initially asked to speak, Brother Smith gave me the topic of “How Christ’s birth is significant to me.”   My initial response was, could that topic be any broader?   But then gratefully he followed it up with “Particularly from the prosp...

Kid's Talks

Riley’s Primary Talk on Baptism 3/15/20 Today I want to talk on Baptism.   Being baptized is a commandment from Heavenly Father.   We have to be baptized to make it back to Him.   Even Jesus Christ was baptized.   If Jesus Christ was baptized we should be baptized too.   When we turn 8 years old we can choose to follow Jesus Christ’s example and be baptized too.   When we are baptized and confirmed we become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.     If you have already been baptized, you should remember the covenants, or promises you made.   If you have not been baptized, you should study and pray and keep the commandments so that when you turn 8 years old you will be ready. We should all remember how important baptism is.   I am really excited I get to be baptized next year.   In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen Faith Parker’s Talk   2/16/20   Today, my talk is going to be about f...
