Summer Lovin'

You probably know this, but summer is MY FAVORITE!   I could totally do summer year round and never hope for a cool day.   And I am not exaggerating. This summer has been extra fun having 2 kids that are so eager to go out and do things not to mention all of our awesome friends we get to go do fun things with.  It has seriously been a blast!  Here is a little glimpse of some of our recent adventures. Too cool for a swim so we hung out at the airport instead Em is being a baby and laying in her baby's cradle First time bowling, P LOVED it! Best buds matching. We recently discovered the Concord Splash park and we LOVE it!   We go there for a few hours at a time.  So much fun!   Here is a decent view of the splash park We also have gone to a few of the dollar kids movies.  So far we have seen RIO, Kung Fu Panda 2, Winnie the Pooh, Charlotte's Web.  The kids have LOVED ...

So Cal Temple Trip: Day 3

Newport Beach Temple The last day was awesome!  I LOVE this temple it is so unique and beautiful.  The temple grounds are amazing and it is just awesome.  I am so anxious to go inside this one, I hear it is beautiful!   Once again, I was impressed with the kids good memories.  We also came to this temple when we were here for Memorial Day but we came on a Sunday and the grounds were closed.  As soon as we pulled up P shouted, "Mommy!  The gate is OPEN!!"  Then he went on to tell G & G how last time we came the gate was closed.  He was very excited!  We were excited  to come to this one because some of our buddies were going to come join us while we hung out on the grounds.  The kids were SOOOOO excited to see Rachel and Baby E again.  They had been talking about her non-stop since we left her house a month ago.   We had a great time wondering temple grounds but it was starting to get pretty hot and I kn...

So Cal Temple Trip: Day 2

Day 2: REDLANDS to SAN DIEGO to NEWPORT BEACH Day 2 started out with a tasty breakfast courtesy of our hotel.  The kids loved it and actually ate a decent breakfast which is not something they usually do at home.  After we ate we loaded back into the car and headed to the Redlands Temple.  My in-laws had some family names to do and watched the kids so I could go in with the youth and do them.  It was so wonderful to be in there with our youth, see the inside of another beautiful temple and then also to participate in the ordinances.  It was perfect! Grandma found a park close by and took the kids while we were inside.  They had a blast!  She took some fun pictures, I'll have to get them from her. REDLANDS TEMPLE Wish we had a little more temple and a little less concrete but Yay for a family pic where everyone is looking at the camera!  :) This is Em's "little" pose My happy boy! Em & Grandma ...

So Cal Temple Trip: Day 1

WARNING:  Super long post ahead! Please note, I take no offense to those who just look at the pics and move on. A temple trip for the youth in our ward has been in the works for some time now.  As plans were being made and chaperons were needed I never really considered going despite my great desire to.  With Jeff's crazy hours and the kids I just figured it wouldn't even be a possibility.  But once I realized my In-Laws were going and my husband was going to be out of town that week I had no reason not to go!  So I asked the in-laws if me and the kids could tag along and they completely supported the idea.   We were so excited to go!  The kids love going to the temple and I thought it would be such a fun opportunity for them even though they are still so young.  I knew I wouldn't really get to go inside any of the temples since I would be out with the kids, but just being able to actually go to every temple in CA was such an ...
