O-N-E

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!

This cannot be true. I'm pretty sure I just blinked my eyes and a year went by. It is so hard to believe. It is crazy to think about where we were a year ago. Although, thinking about it does make it seem like it was a year ago and yesterday all at the same time. Have you ever felt like that?

There is so much that I could and want to say about this perfect gift from our Heavenly Father. I don't even know where to begin.

I think first and foremost, I want to thank her.
Thank her for teaching me more about faith.
For teaching me about patience.
For helping me love my incredible spouse even more
(which I honestly did not think was possible).
For giving the P-man a buddy.
For making me laugh everyday.
For making me stronger.
For making me happier.
For making me wiser.
I feel so blessed to be this little girls mother. She already has such a distinct personality, I am POSITIVE she is here at this time for a reason. I KNOW that she is going to make a difference in this world. I PRAY for strength and help everyday that I can all that she needs and more. That I can love her and teach her all that she needs to know to be a powerful influence for good in this wicked world we live. I am scared everyday raising my kids in this day and age. But I feel comfort in knowing that if I teach them and love them the best that I can, then they will be alright. I just want so badly for them to be more than alright. I want them to be powerful instruments in the hand of the Lord. I want them to bring about much good. I want them to serve and love and to bring others joy.

Anyway, I feel so lucky, so blessed to have this little lady in our lives. She is a hoot and most definitely keeps me on my toes. She wants so badly to be a "Big Kid" and tries so hard to do the things that bigger kids do. She gets frustrated when she cant, but that just motivates her more. For example, she figured out how to climb up our slide almost 2 months ago (just a little after P did). She was just barely starting to crawl, but she could climb a toddler's slide. Go figure. I could go on for days, and I should have been in bed a couple of hrs ago. So I'm wrapping this up for now.

Happy Birthday Em!
We love you more than words can say!

"In My Daughter's Eyes"

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daugter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

What to pack . . .

So now that he really could come ANY DAY I figured it was probably time for me to pack my bag. I of course have one of those "What to bring" checklist, but I was wondering what your thoughts where. Is there anything you wish you had brought but didn't? Is there anything you would have died without if you hadn't brought it? I'm just so clueless! A few tips from you experienced mothers would be greatly appreciated!! I cant believe it is so close!!

Have you noticed?

I need a haircut ASAP! This is me saying, "I'll smile if you ignore my hair." Don't get me wrong, I am really excited I have long hair, I love having long hair , but it needs a little TLC. It has been a few months since I have even got a trim and I am still re-couping from a not so good hair cut. The last few times I have really CUT my hair, not just a trim, I was not pleased with the results. Now it would probably help if I was willing to pay more than $10 for a hair cut . . . but I'm Mrs. High Pockets as my father calls me and it is really hard for me to spend money on my hair. So I need your help! What do you think I should do? Before you make any suggestions you should know: It MUST be able to go back into a ponytail!!!!!!! My hair is STICK STRAIGHT My hair will not curl to save my life (via over night curls, hot curls, even curling irons, they just don't work) I want and need something EASY! I do not like to spend time on my hair and I don...

No Use Crying Over Spilled Milk . . .

So being an emotional pregnant woman is definitely taking its tole on both me and Jeff (what a wonderful, patient, and understanding man he is). Saturday morning I was so excited because for the first time in weeks we actually had a morning together. I had planned to make us a delicious breakfast just like my dad always did for me. We had Eggs, Hashbrowns, and even Bacon; we were so excited. So I started cooking the bacon first, knowing it would take the longest. Then when I thought they were close to being done, Jeff started cooking the eggs and I threw on the hashbrowns. Well, needless to say, the eggs finished super fast and the others were not even close. And then to add more to my frustration the pan I was using for the hashbrowns was awful! Despite my many tablespoons of butter the entire thing was completely stuck! I switched pans in the middle to try to save them. In the meantime Jeff ate his eggs so they wouldn't get cold. I insisted on waiting so I could eat th...
